10:03 mark, my opinion: the NSA was behind the hack and pinned it on the Chinese and then offered protection in exchange for access to Google's database.
Typical mafia-esque behavior, throw a brick through a store-owner's window, come in and ask them if they want to pay for protection. I've known about the CIA + Google (and Microsoft and Intel) connection for years, not to mention MK Ultra, so this isn't exactly news to me but maybe this is news to some of you. I really like Cold Fusion's presentation though, top notch journalism here.
